Our Kitchen Renovation

Our kitchen is finally complete! It was a very long process to have everything done (with all the covid delays) but we are finally here and couldn't be happier!  When designing this kitchen, I got a lot of inspiration from my favourite designers and movies (anything Nancy Meyers!) so I hope this kitchen can inspire you too!
We working with Ora Kitchens out of Orillia to customize our kitchen to our vision. We LOVED working with them! We went with wood cabinets painted the custom colour I use (50% China White BM 50% Linen White BM).  Our backsplash is MDF shiplap.  Everyone thought I was crazy for doing this on the backsplash but I LOVE the end result! I searched everywhere for a 3 inch shiplap but no one seemed to carry it.  Our contractors milled it with a 'nickel' gap in between and I painted them the same colour as our cabinets. Our countertops are Silverstone Et Statuario.  In our previous house we used a cheaper quartz and I noticed it stained pretty easily, with these slab I don't find that at all, no staining which is very important in countertops. All of our appliances are Fisher & Paykel (they were a little pricey but so worth it!).
